Hilfiger Residence Decorative Painting as seen in Architectural Digest

We loved working in Tommy & Dee Hilfiger’s landmark home to help create its storybook-like, rustic interior. It was recently featured in Architectural Digest magazine. See the full feature here.

Inspired by the English countryside, we created the painted ceiling panels for this Grand Entry Foyer, which showcased a shield design created for the Hilfigers.

Our work here was with Interior designer Cindy Rinfret.

Below is a detailed view of the inset panels we painted for the ceiling.

We also woodgrained the Grand Staircase, as well as the frieze above it, parts of which may be seen in the below photograph. Interior design by Cindy Rinfret.

But perhaps our favorite trompe l’oeil painted woodwork is the ceiling in the Breakfast Room.

It was fun to design its geometric layout, featuring circular borders with foliate scrollwork. It served to foil the beams’ gridded pattern.
